Fisker's Project Nina will get BMW Engines
You’ve probably got used to stories about Henrik Fisker’s eponymous car company, makers of the convincing range-extender sports saloon, the Fisker Karma. But you may not be quite as au fait with Fisker’s future plans – Project Nina. Project Nina is Henrik Fisker’s equivalent of Tesla’s Model S – it’s where a niche car maker goes mainstream.
Alongside the new 508, Peugeot unveiled a B-segment SUV concept called the HR1 in Paris. The new car builds on the new design identity established by the SR1 concept, but also features elements of the diminutive BB1 concept revealed at the 2009 Frankfurt motor show. Honda has released the first images of its new Civic ahead of its launch today at the 2011 Frankfurt motor show. The Civic's flowing exterior design is said to have been inspired by the ‘blended wing body' airplane, in which the wings and fuselage blend into one entity for improved performance. The designers have kept the sporty and advanced elements of the car's character but have adapted them to emphasize the dynamism of the new Civic.
